About Jason P.
Who is Jason P ?
Born in the late 1960s, Jason quickly realized that he really enjoyed singing.
Like many kids at that time, he was also a member of the school and church choirs, although rock'n'roll wasn't very popular there.
In 1975 he got his first record player and single, it was by Elvis, and from Jason's birth year 1968. The song was called "Devil in Disguise" and that was it for Jason.
From then on, Elvis and Rock'n'Roll were always a part of his life, even after Elvis Aaron Presley on 16 died tragically on August 19, 1977.
Finally, after that Elvis record the first piano and guitar lessons followed. Then the first band came, and with it the first small live performances... but the desire was awakened!
In 1988, however, the time had come and the Boppin' Bears emerged. From a New Year's mood, a young, wild Rock-a-Billy band that caused quite a stir at the time. Now with the same cast, albeit a little grayer - but no less quiet – still exists today. Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Buddy Holly, Carl Perkins songs have always been a staple of any show.
On record
The career of the boys was crowned with real vinyl! After a three-day stay in the studio, the `Double-B-Side: `Boppin´ Bears Volume 1` was released
Even if the Boppin' Bears found less and less time to play together over the years, the passion for this music remained, and especially the love for Elvis. Not only his music but also his look and stage presence.
So it came about that Jason P, at the ripe old age of 46, had his first jumpsuit made. Along with a wig, sideburns, belt, shoes and accessories, followed by practice, practice... and more practice, a voice alone is not sufficient as an ETA.
Appearances at private and public events followed before he founded the band 'Elvis and Friends Unplugged' with fellow musicians.
With 2 acoustic guitars, cajon, double bass and piano they played successfully in 2017 and 2018 at the `European Elvis Festival` in Bad Nauheim.
To this day, Jason P is more successful than ever as an Elvis Tribute all year round throughout Europe, and hopefully will continue to delight young and old with his for many more years to come with his "TRIBUTE TO THE KING"
